Overview
The aim is:
- To expand the earning capability of the marginalized sections of society, thus bringing them into the mainstream, by teaching vocational skills;
- To empower underprivileged students /adults by providing sustainable livelihood leading to economic independence;
- Special attention to school drop outs with a minimum qualification of Class X.
1- Computer Trainings & Courses
Knowledge of computers is a pre-requisite today for better performance in any job and a help in career growth. Since September 2016, we provide training in Basic & Advanced Computer Application,Tally ERP 9 Courses and Desinging softwere like Coraldraw & Photoshop etc, Course duration varies from 3 to 6 months. At the end of the training, they are examined and given Certificates. More than 90% our students pass with an ‘A’ Grade. Efforts are made to place the qualified students in Computer Operations jobs – such as Data Entry Operator, Accounts Assistant, Receptionist, Cash Memo Co-ordinator, Graphic Designer, Bank Executive etc.
A record is maintained of the placements. More than 2000 Students have successfully completed this program and most of them have secured jobs
2- CUTTING & TAILORING
The aim is to provide Cutting & Tailoring Skills to underprivileged girls /women with a view to help them earn a living by stitching clothes from their homes (self-employment) or get a job at a boutique / export house and supplement the family income, to improve their quality of life. Top 5 students are given sewing machines on completing the
course. After the training, Trainees are also taken for exposure visits and counseled on the marketing aspects of a tailoring unit; sampling and quality control; Self Help Groups (SHG) are also encouraged to setting up shop, with an interest free loan from the Government or Self Help Group.
