Women Empowerment

Overview

The aim is to provide Cutting & Tailoring Skills to underprivileged girls /women with a view to help them earn a living by stitching clothes from their homes (self-employment) or get a job at a boutique / export house and supplement the family income, to improve their quality of life. Top 5 students are given sewing machines on completing the course. After the training, Trainees are also taken for exposure visits and counseled on the marketing aspects of a tailoring unit; sampling and quality control; Self Help Groups (SHG) are also encouraged to setting up shop, with an interest free loan from the Government or Self Help Group.
